Board-Wise Contact Numbers and Offices for Result Complaints or Rechecking

Whether you need to apply for paper rechecking, resolve a delay in your results (RL status), correct a spelling error in your father's name, or request an official migration certificate, you must contact your respective board's administrative office. Because these educational boards manage thousands of candidates, finding the right contact number or office location can be a challenge. This guide provides a consolidated, verified directory of helpline numbers, email addresses, and physical locations for all major educational boards in Pakistan, along with the official protocols you must follow when submitting a request. If you cannot find your roll number on result day, refer to our guide on what to do if you lost your roll number slip.

1. Verified Board Contact Directory

Below is the contact information for the primary educational boards in Punjab, KPK, Sindh, and the Federal Capital. For result-day queries, we recommend calling early in the morning (between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM) to avoid busy phone lines.

2. Visiting Protocols: What to Bring to the Board Office

Educational boards are government offices, meaning they follow strict bureaucratic procedures. If you visit a physical board office to submit a complaint or application without the correct paperwork, you will be turned away. Before you travel to the board office, make sure you have prepared a folder containing these documents:

  • Original Roll Number Slip: Keep the physical slip issued to you during exams. Bring the original and at least 3 photocopies.
  • Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) Copy: If the online result has been released, print out your online marksheet copy.
  • B-Form / CNIC: Bring the candidate's original B-Form and their father's CNIC, along with 2 photocopies of each.
  • Paid Challan Receipt: Most applications (such as rechecking or name corrections) require a fee. You must generate the challan online, pay it at the designated bank branch, and bring the original bank receipt to submit with your form.
  • Passport-Sized Photographs: Bring at least 4 recent passport-sized photos with a blue background. The photos must be attested by a government school principal.

3. The Physical Paper Rechecking Flow: Step-by-Step

A common misunderstanding is that "rechecking" means a senior teacher will re-read and re-evaluate all your answers. This is illegal under board regulations. Here is what actually happens when you apply for rechecking:

  1. Retrieval from the Vault: Once your challan fee is verified, the board officers retrieve your physical answer sheet (identified by a barcode, not your name) from the secure archives vault.
  2. The Checking Panel Meeting: You (along with your parent/guardian) are assigned a specific date and room number to visit the board office. A board official will open your paper in front of you.
  3. The 4-Point Checklist: The official will verify the following four points only:
    • Unmarked Answers: If any question or part of an answer was left unmarked by the examiner, it will be referred to the subject specialist for grading.
    • Totaling Accuracy: The marks written on the individual answer pages must sum up to the total written on the front page.
    • Data Entry Validation: The marks on the physical sheet must match the scores entered in the computerized result database.
    • Page Integrity: The total number of pages in the sheet must match the registry to ensure no pages were torn or misplaced.

If any calculation error is found, your marks will be revised (increased or decreased) and a new, corrected marksheet will be mailed to your address within 21 days. If you need to submit supplementary admission forms instead, read our guide on Compartment vs Supplementary Exams.

4. How to File an Official Query or Complaint

If you encounter issues on result day, follow this procedure to ensure your query is processed quickly:

  1. Identify the Correct Window: Board offices have separate windows for different tasks. Window 1 might be for fee queries, Window 2 for name corrections, and Window 3 for paper rechecking. Do not wait in the wrong line; ask the reception desk for direction first.
  2. Get a Diary Number: When you submit any physical application, the receiving clerk will stamp your copy and write a "Diary Number" on it. This is your tracking number. If your request is delayed, you can use this number to check its status.
  3. Use Online Portals: Many boards, including the Federal Board (FBISE) and Lahore Board (BISE Lahore), now have online ticket systems. You can upload scanned copies of your documents and track your complaint status from home, saving you a trip to the office.
