In an inter-board meeting held at BISE Lahore, the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) finalised 2 September 2026, 10:00 AM as the uniform announcement time for 9th class annual results across BISE Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and DG Khan. Result gazettes will be dispatched to affiliated schools within 72 hours, and the online rechecking window will open the same day. Approximately 1.1 million students appeared from Punjab in the March 2026 session.

KPK Boards Announce Staggered 9th Class Result Schedule

BISE Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mardan and five other KPK boards have released their expected result dates between 25 August and 5 September 2026.

The KP Education Department confirmed that eight KPK boards will announce Matric Part-I results between 25 August and 5 September 2026. BISE Peshawar and Abbottabad are expected first, followed by Mardan, Swat, Malakand, Kohat, Bannu and DI Khan. The department has directed all boards to publish results on their official portals simultaneously with press conferences to avoid the confusion seen in 2024.

The Aga Khan University Examination Board has upgraded its result portal with a new roll-number search, downloadable DMC in PDF, and a 10x server-capacity increase to handle result-day traffic. AKU-EB's SSC Part-I 2026 result is expected in the last week of August 2026 for affiliated schools nationwide.

GPA 4.0 Grading Now Standard on All Matric Part-I Certificates

The Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) confirmed that from the 2026 annual session all 9th and 10th class DMCs will show both the traditional letter grade (A+ to F) and the corresponding GPA on a 4.0 scale. The change aligns Pakistani secondary certificates with the format expected by international universities and improves comparability across boards. IBCC has also directed provincial boards to publish an updated grading key on their websites.
